ASP Announces 2015 Franchisee of the Year Marcus Kuja

MACON, Georgia– ASP – America’s Swimming Pool Company, announced the winner of its Franchisee of the Year award at their annual owners meeting. Marcus Kuja, owner/operator of the Savannah and Glynn County, Georgia franchise locations was honored to receive the award as a tribute to his hard work and dedication to his pool cleaning franchise.

Kuja first joined ASP as a General Manager for the two franchises. At the start of 2015, he bought out his partners to become the sole owner of both franchise locations, and worked hard to make any improvements he saw fit to grow the business and make it a million-dollar operation. Kuja, a self-proclaimed man of few words, has been asked time and time again if he would repeat his actions to which he quickly replies, “YES!”

“Kuja embodies what it is we are doing as a company,” said Stewart Vernon, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ASP. “Everything from the way he keeps his books to how he handles phone calls, and customer service is flawless. I’ve respected him every step along the way. Choosing him as the recipient of the Franchisee of the Year award was a very easy decision, and I couldn’t be happier for Marcus!”

Kuja’s franchises were also recognized among those introduced to the President’s Club, which consists of franchises whose earnings exceeded $500,000 in 2015. During the meeting, the theme for 2016 was announced to all ASP franchises as ‘Leaders…Leading the industry.’ “Kuja is a perfect example of a leader in his community,” Vernon said, “It’s because of leaders like him that the ASP brand continues to grow and reach toward our goal of coast to coast expansion.”

Founded in 2001 as a way to raise the bar on the current swimming pool industry, Vernon built the company on the belief that providing a higher quality pool service at an affordable price would allow him to compete in his market.
