MACON, Georgia– ASP – America’s Swimming Pool Company announced recently that their Gilbert, Arizona franchise would be under new ownership as of February 2016. The new owner/operator, Jacob Burr, is set to open doors in February 2016. Born and raised in Gilbert, Burr is ready to introduce his community to a higher level of pool service.

After high school, Burr served a two year mission for his church in Paraguay, where he spent time going door to door to find people to share his message with. This experience taught him how to build relationships, talk to people from all backgrounds, and find common beliefs. Following his missionary service, Burr returned to Gilbert to continue his studies. While putting himself through school, Burr spent his summers working selling pest control services door to door. His experience as a missionary helped him overcome any fears he may have had with talking to people, and led to a successful sales career.

When summers away from the family began to wear on him, Burr accepted a job at American Express, where he learned that his skills would be better used if he were working for himself. A family friend referred him to ASP’s pool maintenance franchise opportunity, and Burr was attracted to the glowing online reviews and the level of support the franchise offered. From his past experiences, Burr is not afraid to go door to door and ask for business from local pool owners, something that other pool companies in the area are not already doing.
